After the Apple iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and iPhone got new updates; Apple has recently rolled out an update for macOS Big Sur. The new Mac OS Big Sur 11.5 update includes a few performance fixes and security updates. Besides this, it also includes some issues with Music and Podcast apps. This new update is rolling out for all compatible Mac devices. It includes MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac 24-inch, and 27-inch.
How to Update Mac with Mac OS Big Sur 11.5?
In order to update your Mac, you need to tap on the Apple logo on the top of the screen. After that, you need to click on System Preferences, then update the software, and update now. The total download is around 2GB which means your device should have enough space for installation. Mac OS Big Sur includes some improvements for your Mac, and these are:
- Music cannot update the last played date and play count in your library.
- Smart cars might not work properly when you log into a Mac system with an M1 chip.
In fact earlier this week, the new update not only rolled out for iPhone but also for iPad OS 14.7 and the new watchOS 7.6 for Apple Watch. The release of this new update was on cue after the release of the candidate version seeded by developers. Though there are bug fixes and feature improvements which includes:
- Timers on Home Pod
- Support for the new MagSafe Battery Pack
- Air quality information for several countries
- Apple Music as well as podcast updates.
