The enterprise-grade video cloud platform ‘SightCall’ built on an Augmented Reality platform is all set to help companies, customers, and field service teams. Sightcall started in Paris, and then it moved to San Francisco. Since then, it has become a significant player in several industries such as engineering, insurance, transportation, telehealth, telecom, medical equipment.
Recently, the company announced $42 million to invest in expanding its client base and stacking more AR Tools. This funding will be Series B funding led by InfraVia Capital and Bpifrance, a co-investor through its Large Venture fund.
According to CEO and Co-Founder Thomas Cottereau, the core of this service is AR technology. It would be embedded in their service apps or apps used by their customers. Moreover, users can integrate it into standard software used in customer service environments. For now, it includes ServiceNow, Salesforces, SAP, and Microsoft. The new AR experience overlays pointers, tools, and additional information over the video stream.
Who can Use Sightcall’s AR Based Virtual Assistant Platform?
Field support engineers can use this technology to coordinate with the central office while repairing call centers and vehicles. They can use Artificial Intelligence to diagnose issues with the systems. Beyond this, you can use it for situations depending on hastily drawn maps, work instructions, voice-based explanations, and instruction manuals.
Thomas Cottereau also stated that they would break the barriers between customers and a field service organization. Although the technology is unique to Signtcall, it developed for many years and optimized to be used with a smartphone in critical situations where coverage is not adequate.
He also stated that Sightcall, as a global leader, will not enhance their skills by making intelligent communication and introducing automation. It will help humans to perform their tasks easily and at their best.
Antoine Izsak of Bpifrance said that today businesses are seeking solutions like Sightcall. Moreover, it enables customer-centricity at a greater scale while AR technicians with expertise and knowledge unlock efficiency. Also, it helps them to drive continued profit and performance. He also stated that $42 M Series B makes the highest funding yet in this sector. And undoubtedly, SightCall has come up as the undisputed leader in R&D resources, capital, and partnerships with leading tech companies.
